It is the role of the state or territory-based curriculum authorities/boards of studies, whom have the legal responsibility of curriculum provision in their respective jurisdictions, to implement the Australian Curriculum, whilst reserving the right to retain their own state/territory priorities and approaches when it comes to curriculum provision and teaching and learning. Thus each state and territory makes their own determination as to what works best for them in regard to the Australian Curriculum published by ACARA.
